Here are a few more photos from my time in Geneva. One thing that really surprised me is how much natural beauty there is to be enjoyed here. The views of the Lake are just breathtaking from every angle, but they were particularly special when we made our way down a rocky peninsula where we could entirely envelop ourselves in its still calm. We walked along to the botanical gardens which hosts a really impressive arboretum and some interesting sculptures.
The following day we explored the Jardin des Anglais and then made our way up to the top of St Peter's Cathedral to admire the panoramic views of the city. The cathedral itself is pretty bare inside, but the views from the towers more than make up for it! There's a really pretty little veranda at the foot of the cathedral where we went to have some lunch; it's a really lovely part of the city to explore as there are so many little alleyways leading to old buildings and pretty courtyards.
We then went to see the Reformation Wall which is very impressive. Built to commemorate the Protestant Reformation, the scale of the figures doesn't really hit you until you stand right in front of it.
Despite Geneva's small size it certainly has plenty to offer.
Milly ♥
