A few of my favourite things

I thought I'd do a post about some of my favourite little everyday luxuries. Some were Christmas presents - these things are really fantastic to receive as gifts as it really shows how well your loved ones know you! - and some are things I've been loving for a while. They really go a long way towards brightening my day.

This notebook is so handsome it just makes me want to get stuck right in and start scribbling. As well as helping me plan my travels it's always nice to have a place to note things down when I feel inspired.

This Body Shop Absinthe hand cream is a new discovery as it was a Christmas present but I just love it already. It absorbs really quickly which is great, as I can't stand greasy hands. The best thing about it though is the smell -  it's subtly musky and really unique.

The headphones were something I spotted while I was shopping in Tiger. As soon as I saw them, I knew I had to have them. I LOVE the studs! To be honest I'm quite impressed with the quality of the sound, it's actually really decent considering how little they cost. Their range is ever changing and I love to pop in there for a browse, I always seem to come out with something!

I was a little dubious when the Clarins staff recommended an oil for my blemish-prone skin, as I've had so many skin issues in the past. But I have to give it to them, this Lotus face oil has transformed my skin. I apply a few drops every night then do a quick facial massage so it's a lovely way of winding down in the evening. It sounds strange but it actually helps to regulate oil production, as well as smelling amazing. They've actually brought out a new pipette-style bottle which should make it even easier to apply, but I'm only half way through this bottle which is testament to how long it lasts.

Vogue is a pretty generic thing to put on a favourites list, but to be fair as a magazine it never fails to inspire me with its amazing editorials. I chose this issue particularly as it features one of my favourite models on the cover. Freja has a cool 'I don't give a shit' attitude and her off duty style is really pared back, but still manages to be super chic. She's always evolving and is never afraid to do things her own way - when she started out her agent told her never to cut her hair or get tattoos, but when she did, her career soared.

Last but not least, this foot cream from L'Occitane has won loads of awards and it's pretty obvious why. It's super nourishing and smells so good, and you actually get good value for money as you don't need to use very much at a time.
