One of the days we were in Berlin, we took a train down to the East Side Gallery. It's a long stretch of the old Berlin Wall, which is now an international memorial representing freedom and the largest open air gallery in the world.
The Gallery was painted in 1990 and although there's a fair bit of graffiti on some sections, most of it is still in good shape, and the vandalised sections are undergoing restoration. Some of the graffiti is actually quite amazing in itself!
At the time we didn't have a working camera so these photos were just taken on my iPhone, a shame really but I can assure you it's well worth a visit to really appreciate the scale and beauty of these quirky works.
